1acre MCP

India's verified land marketplace, for AI agents

The official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for 1acre.in — India's verified land marketplace. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop, or any MCP-compatible client to look up survey numbers, browse cadastral data, and generate land-intelligence reports on behalf of your 1acre account.

The server itself runs at https://mcp.1acre.in. This page contains the client-side configuration and documentation — how to connect.

Before you connect

A 1acre.in account with a verified Indian phone number. Sign up at 1acre.in first — MCP resolves your Clerk identity to that account by matching the phone.

The MCP server uses 1a tokens for paid tools. Every account starts with a token balance visible via `get_token_balance`. Free tools (browse, list, coordinates, re-read reports, discovery) are unlimited. Paid tools debit tokens on success and cannot be refunded — always call `get_token_balance` first and confirm the cost with the user.

Available tools

Check token balance

get_token_balance

Free

Returns your 1a token balance, what your plan allows, and the current per-tool cost from the catalog. Free to call. Call this BEFORE any paid tool so the user knows the price and can confirm before the debit.

Browse locations

browse_locations

Free

Walk the location hierarchy — state → district → mandal → village. Use this to discover valid values before calling list_survey_numbers, list_lands_in_region, or the paid identify/report tools.

Search locations (fuzzy)

search_locations

Free

Fuzzy place-name search — type a village / mandal / district / state name however you know it and get the canonical name plus the LGD codes cadastral tools need (state_code, district_code, mandal, village_key). Handles typos and transliteration variants (e.g. 'Edulanagulapalli' matches 'Edulnagulapally'). One call replaces a 3-4 step browse_locations walk. Free.

List survey numbers

list_survey_numbers

Free

List every survey number that exists in a given village. No tokens spent.

List available layers

list_available_layers

Free

Metadata-only discovery of every map layer we carry for a location — Master Plan, air-funnel zones, expressway alignments, metro, and more. Call this before get_layer_info to decide which layers are worth paying for. No tokens spent.

Search / browse layer catalog

search_layers

Free

Browse or search the map-layer catalog without needing a lat/lng. Returns live layers grouped by state — masterplans, ring roads, expressways, air-funnel zones, metro corridors and more. Use before list_available_layers when the user asks 'which layers do you have for <state>?' or 'is there a <keyword> layer?'. Free.

Get layer info

get_layer_info

Costs tokens

Fetch feature attributes at a lat/lng within one or more map layers — zoning class, permissible height, corridor distance, etc. Corridor layers (expressways, metro) return the nearest feature + distance. Every layer that returns a feature spends 5 tokens; misses are free.

5 tokens per layer that returns a feature. Misses are free.

Create a survey number report

create_survey_number_report

Costs tokens

Generate a full land-intelligence report for a specific survey number. The debit is permanent and cannot be refunded. Call get_token_balance first to quote the price and available balance to the user.

Priced by the token catalog — call get_token_balance for the current rate.

Identify parcel at a point

identify_parcel_at_point

Costs tokens

Given a lat/lng coordinate, identify the cadastral parcel at that point and generate its report. The debit is permanent and cannot be refunded.

Priced by the token catalog — call get_token_balance for the current rate.

List lands in a region

list_lands_in_region

Costs tokens

Up to 10 verified 1acre land listings within a radius of a lat/lng — with price, extent, and the listing URL (never a raw phone number). Paginate with the page parameter. Every non-empty page spends 1 token; empty pages past the end of the result set are free.

1 token per non-empty page (10 listings max). Empty pages are free.

Re-open a report

get_survey_number_report

Free

Re-open a previously generated report by ID. Free — once a report exists, you can re-open it any number of times without spending tokens.

Get report coordinates

get_report_coordinates

Free

Return the GeoJSON boundary coordinates for a previously generated report. Free — no tokens spent.

Sell my land

create_sell_listing_intent

Free

Capture a "sell my land" intent — the agent walks the seller through location, extent, price, and contact details, then returns a pre-filled wa.me link the seller taps to send to the 1acre listings team. Nothing is sent automatically. Free.

Set up your client

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http 1acre https://mcp.1acre.in/mcp \
  --callback-port 8118 \
  --client-id eKg8BebDnd09zxwy

Setup steps

1. Paste the command above in your terminal.

2. In Claude Code, type /mcp — you'll see "1acre" listed with "Needs authentication".

3. Click Sign In. Your browser opens the 1acre sign-in page.

4. Enter your phone number → receive OTP via SMS → enter the code.

5. On the consent screen, click Allow. The client flips to "✓ Connected".

Troubleshooting

"No OTP arrived" — check phone signal and country format (+91 for India).

Token expired mid-session — Claude Code refreshes automatically; if a call fails with 401, retry once, then /mcp → Reconnect.

If any problem persists, please email [email protected].
