Common Issues With Girdawari in Punjab

Most of these problems only show up after registration, which is exactly the wrong time to find them.

Active Crop Entry on a Plot Sold as Residential
The current Girdawari season shows wheat, paddy, or another crop on the plot. Sellers often say the entry will clear on its own after the harvest. It does not work that way. The land stays classified as agricultural until a formal NA conversion order comes through from the revenue authority, and a fresh Girdawari season reflects the change. Skipping this step means construction approvals will be denied.
