Overview
Andaman & Nicobar Islands maintain cadastral surveys where each plot has a unique survey number or Patta (occupancy record). The A&N Administration Revenue Department holds all land records. However, significant portions of the islands are tribal reserves, national parks, and protected forests—these areas are restricted and not available for private ownership.
