What are Cadastral maps on the Dharani portal? And how to identify the location of a particular survey number in Telangana?

Cadastral maps are digitized versions of village maps (with all the Survey numbers), superimposed on the satellite imagery (link). If you can identify the location of the land on the satellite imagery, you’ll be able to see which survey number the land falls in.

However, there are slight errors in the digitization and superimposition process. Some of the maps are also found to be showing older survey numbers. At times, the survey number maps are displaced wrt to their physical location.

You can use this service as part of a preliminary verification process. However, if you are proceeding with the purchase of any land, you are advised to get a Tipan survey done by the Mandal surveyor.
