VF 6: The Register Where Changes Live
Every extract is a snapshot; village form 6 is the film. The mutation register records each change to a village's rights as a numbered nondh, what changed, on what authority, certified when and by whom, and Gujarat serves it on AnyRoR beside the extracts it explains. For anyone doing serious title work, VF 6 is the difference between knowing what the record says and knowing how it came to say it.
What the VF 6 records
Definition
Village form 6 is Gujarat's mutation register: the chronological record of nondhs, each numbered entry describing a change to the record of rights, its basis, a deed, a succession, an order, and its certification. AnyRoR serves VF 6 entries alongside the 7/12 and 8A, letting any extract entry be traced back to the nondh that created it.
Read a nondh like a sentence with four parts: what changed, occupants, shares, charges; on what basis, the deed or order cited; through what process, notice and any objections; and the certification that made it stick. An entry missing any part is a question, and the register is honest enough to show its own incomplete sentences.
For title work, VF 6 turns the extract's assertions into a checkable story. The current occupant traces to a nondh, that nondh cites a deed, the deed sits in the Index-2 chain, and so backward through the years: revenue and registration confirming each other link by link. Where a link is missing, a nondh with no deed, a deed with no nondh, you have found the exact place the title needs work.
The register also carries the system's warnings in plain sight: entries pending certification, entries objected to, entries cancelled. A plot whose recent VF 6 shows contested nondhs is telling you its present tense, and the telling is free.

The method
What a nondh's parts tell the reader
Four parts, four readings.
| Part | What it shows | Reader's note |
|---|---|---|
| The change | What the entry did to the record | Occupants, shares or charges moved |
| The basis | Deed, succession or order cited | Must exist in the Index-2 chain |
| The process | Notice given, objections if any | Contested entries are live questions |
| Certification | When it hardened, by whom | Uncertified means not yet real |
Common VF 6 issues, and the fix
VF 6 reading fails four ways.
VF 6 in real title work
Professionals read Gujarat titles as a two-column exercise: VF 6's nondhs down one side, the Index-2 chain down the other, each line confirming its partner.
