Question 1

What is the exact route of the Sagar Bypass?

Accepted Answer

It runs about 20 kilometres from a junction on NH-146 near Lahdara village to a junction on NH-44 near Berkheri Guru village, forming a four-lane greenfield western bypass around Sagar city.

Question 2

Is the Sagar Bypass a greenfield or brownfield project?

Accepted Answer

It is a greenfield project, meaning it follows an entirely new alignment rather than widening an existing road, which is part of why its exact corridor needs independent confirmation before buying nearby land.

Question 3

Why is NH-44 near Sagar in poor condition despite widening work?

Accepted Answer

Reports from September 2026 describe potholes across a 162-kilometre stretch, with the parallel Sagar-Damoh four-lane project running behind schedule, prompting the district Collector to press contractors to speed up work.

Question 4

How do I check land records in Madhya Pradesh using ULPIN?

Accepted Answer

Visit mpbhulekh.gov.in, search by district, tehsil, and village, then confirm the fourteen-digit Unique Land Parcel Identification Number matches the plot's actual GPS location before relying on the Khatauni shown.

Question 5

What is Cyber Tehsil and does it apply to land near the bypass?

Accepted Answer

Cyber Tehsil automatically updates mutation records once a sale registers on SAMPADA, Madhya Pradesh's registration portal. It applies statewide, so always pull a fresh Khatauni rather than an older printout.

Question 6

What makes Sagar a national highway junction city?

Accepted Answer

Recent reporting describes Sagar gaining four-lane, all-weather connectivity from multiple directions at once, linking the Kanpur-Sagar corridor, NH-44, and the newer NH-146 alignment feeding into the western bypass.

Question 7

Is Sagar district covered by tribal land transfer restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Partly. Some rural pockets carry Scheduled Tribe landholding, and Section 165 of the MP Land Revenue Code requires Sub-Divisional Officer approval for a tribal-to-non-tribal sale, though this applies less broadly than in core tribal districts.
